GEO tagging is becoming more popular as technology advances. GEO tagging is the recording (tagging) of the coordinates in latitude and longitude of where your image was taken. Some smartphones and GPS enabled cameras store this information in the images metadata. This is the place where the date and time is stored. While most photogs know about metadata, they may not have realized that their smart phone could be sharing this information when images are posted to the web.
While knowing the exact location of a picture taken on vacation can be quite cool indeed, it might not be desirable for that item you posted on Craigslist. Check out this short video
